Baffled

I am sure that Jason will post more later, but since I am home at the computer I will post a little something for those of you keeping up on Jason's health stuff.

As most of you know, Jason has been losing tons of weight for no reason. He had blood work done and he had a doctor visit this morning to discuss the results. His doctor is completely baffled. There appears to be nothing wrong. All of his bloodwork came back normal. He appears to be perfectly healthy, aside from the fact that he lost another 8 pounds in 10 days. So, from here he is having a few more tests run and he will be scheduled for an abdominal CAT scan to see if they can find out what is going on.

In the meantime, apparently, we just keep waiting and praying.

we will definitely keep him in prayer. I am sure they have done this, but have they done a thorough check of his thyroid, and pituitary glands? Usually those are the first things that come to mind with rapid weight loss. And a regular blood test (or even a T-3, TSH, and t-12) can't always detect what is going on with the thyroid). But in the meantime, I am deeply moved how he is offering it up for a special intention and how is prayer life is improving. I can definitely use the reminder.

Happy Lent!

Please go to UCLA. Suzanne's adventure started with a negative finding, and she had to press to get followup labs. We've had a really good experience at UCLA, on multiple occasions, and I would recommend letting them figure out what the issue is. If you schedule the labs on Mondays, you can car pool with Suz. . .
