Christmas Recovery

Well, we all made it through Christmas. We attended midnight mass (yes, even all the kids) and the pre-mass concert by our choir. They did a great job! By the end of the concert the two youngest kids were asleep and they both slept through the entire mass. Darian and Sophia mostly stayed awake. Once we arrived home (around 2 a.m.) Jason and I had to put together two bikes and one trike. Whose idea was it to wait until the last minute? Not mine!! We finished just after 4 a.m. and quickly crashed. Fortunately, because of being up so late at mass, the kids didn't get up until close to 8. Four hours of sleep - woo hoo!

As you can see, Vibiana enjoyed stealing chocolates from her brother's stocking.

And here is the Christmas morning carnage...we have almost recovered the couch...

Everyone had a wonderful Christmas. The kids are home with me for another week and we have Darian's birthday party tomorrow (he turns 8 on New Year's Eve) so I will attempt to update again in a few days. God Bless!

Welcome to the blogging world! I am delighted to have a spot to read about your family. (And thanks for the credit--I am honored!).

P.S. Our lives are so similar--we were home from mass at 2:15am or so but, luckily, Jay was home assembling while I was at mass with Joey and Lindsey, so we were in bed by 2:30. However, since the little ones weren't at mass so late, we were up the minute dawn streaked across the sky, so we got about the same amount of sleep!
